We are currently accepting applications from first-year law students interested in being considered
for the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) 1L Scholars Program as part of our 2023 Summer Associate Program. We are specifically looking for candidates who are interested in IP Litigation work
and who also have a technical degree in the field of Electronics (
e.g.
, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science) or Chemistry (
e.g.
, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology) or related fields
. Candidates should also possess excellent academic credentials as well as strong analytical, writing
, and verbal skills.
Students are encouraged to apply in accordance with their law school’s recruiting guidelines.
LCLD is an organization of more than 350 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners. The 1L LCLD Scholars Program is designed to strengthen the legal pipeline by expanding the number of opportunities for first-year law students. In addition to having the opportunity to attend the 2023 LCLD Scholars virtual summit, our 1L scholars at Winston & Strawn will be able to spend part of the summer working with one of our clients as well as participate in the firm’s annual Diversity Roundtable. As an LCLD Scholar, there is
potential to receive a $50,000 scholarship if you complete both our 1L and 2L summer associate programs and accept an offer of full-time employment.
