IP Docket Supervisor Jobs description
An IP docket supervisor is responsible for entering docket dates into calendaring software. An IP docket supervisor prepares customized reports, maintains firm\'s docket in an up-to-date manner to ensure that court and/or filing dates are not overlooked. An IP docket supervisor keeps tracking critical dates and related details and delivers information to attorneys and staff. An IP docket supervisor coordinates and participates in the distribution of daily and weekly individual dockets to attorneys, paralegals and assistants, maintaining and staying abreast of rule and procedural changes. An IP docket supervisor also coordinates day-to-day activities of the patent and trademark docket teams and is also responsible for the administration of the automated docketing system. An IP docket supervisor is responsible for the overall maintenance and management of the IP docketing module for patent and trademark matters; which have no grace periods.An IP docket supervisor requires minimum of two years of supervisory experience, preferably in a patent docket environment. An IP docket supervisor must have strong knowledge of domestic and international patent and trademarks docketing practices as well as knowledge of automated docketing applications. An IP docket supervisor should be energetic, self-starter and should have strong organizational skills and able to manage multiple priorities. An IP docket supervisor must be able to work as a member of a larger legal team, as well as independently manage a variety of tasks. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
